A brochure is the piece most often produced badly in-house. The artwork is usually fine; what fails is the physical execution — no bleed, so a white sliver appears along one edge, or a tri-fold whose panels are equal widths and therefore will not close.
We handle the production side. Files are checked before press for the handful of things that actually cause reprints, folded and trimmed on finishing kit that holds register, and returned as a finished piece. Short and variable runs go digital; once the quantity justifies the plate cost, offset.
Everyday work is produced in-market. Larger runs and specialist finishing route to Alpine Print in Auckland under the same account manager and the same quote.
Where it fits
- Service and capability brochures — The piece an account manager leaves behind, where feeling cheap undoes the meeting.
- Event and conference collateral — Produced to a fixed date, in the quantity actually needed rather than a minimum order.
- Tourism and hospitality collateral — Racked in a hotel lobby, so the stock has to hold up to being handled all season.
- Public information leaflets — High volume, plain stock, produced on a schedule for ministries and agencies.
- Product and price sheets — Short runs that change often, printed as needed instead of a pallet that goes out of date.
Features
- Folded and trimmed on production finishing kit, so panels line up and the fold falls where the design expects it
- Short runs are economic — a few dozen for a single site visit costs sense, not a minimum order
- Full-colour both sides with proper bleed, rather than a white margin where the artwork ran out
- Pre-press review before it goes to press: colour space, bleed, fonts, image resolution
- Digital for short and variable runs, offset once the quantity justifies it
