ColorWorks C6010

The C6010 is the right ColorWorks model when a customer is replacing existing thermal-transfer label printers with colour inkjet without rebuilding the workflow. ZPL II compatibility means the existing label software (BarTender, NiceLabel, custom ERPs that emit ZPL) keeps emitting the same data — the C6010 prints in colour from the same stream the old thermal-transfer printer was consuming.

It’s positioned above the C4010A — same 4-inch print width but with a much higher duty cycle, larger roll capacity (203.2 mm vs 101.6 mm outer diameter), more robust paper feed and carriage rated for production use. Step sideways to the C6510 when the labels need to be 8-inch wide rather than 4-inch (same engine architecture, wider chassis). Step up to the C8010 when batch volumes and speed requirements outgrow desktop serial-inkjet entirely (line-inkjet architecture, 300 mm/sec, 1.9 L ink capacity).

Two variants matter: C6010A with the auto-cutter is the standard production model. C6010P swaps the cutter for a peel-and-present unit that presents finished labels to the operator (or a downstream applicator) ready to apply. Customers running labels onto products at the line typically want the C6010P; customers cutting and stacking for later application want the C6010A.

Pairs with the Zebra ZD621 where a customer has both a high-volume single-colour POS / kitchen / warehouse workflow (Zebra) AND a thermal-transfer replacement migration where colour is now needed (C6010). One supplier, two purpose-built tools.
