CMB Series ND98CMB

The MAXHUB CMB Series ND98CMB is a 98-inch 4K UHD commercial-grade display engineered for 24/7 operation in large business environments — flagship-size digital signage, large atriums and main-foyer walls, lecture theatres and auditoriums, large boardroom and conference-suite displays, retail-flagship and experiential screens, and corporate communication walls where smaller panels visually disappear. Unlike the MAXHUB E Series and XBoard V7 series (which are interactive whiteboard / collaboration displays with touch surfaces), the CMB is a non-touch commercial display tuned for always-on duty cycles, content delivery and dependable picture quality across long operating hours.

The ND98CMB is the largest model in the CMB family — the flagship size. Active screen area is 2199 × 1255 mm — roughly 14% wider than the 86-inch ND86CMB, but the visual presence and back-of-room legibility lifts proportionally more. Use it when the room is deeper than ~10 m, when the audience exceeds 50 people, or when the customer specifically wants the largest non-video-wall option MAXHUB offers as a single panel.

One feature trade-off applies at this size compared with the 65″–86″ siblings: the optional MAXHUB XBar Series Bracket is NOT supported on the ND98CMB. The XBar Bracket option (which lets a MAXHUB XBar video bar mount directly to the back of the display) covers the 65″, 75″ and 86″ models only. If the customer wants an XBar paired with the ND98CMB to make it a hybrid-meeting endpoint, the video bar will need to be mounted separately (typically wall-mounted directly above or below the display, or on a free-standing audio rack). Everything else — software platform, certifications, port layout, MTR mode, BYOM workflow, sustainability ratings — is consistent with the rest of the CMB family.

Where it fits

• Atrium or grand-foyer signage in a corporate or public-sector building — Flagship-size 98″ panel running brand content, internal communications or live information via MAXHUB Pivot or Appspace. The standard size for the front lobby of a head-office, university building or hospital where smaller panels visually disappear.
• Auditorium, lecture theatre or large conference-suite primary display — Single-panel primary display for an auditorium or 100+ seat lecture room. Crestron / Extron / Q-SYS native certifications mean the panel drops into an existing campus AV control plane; NDI HX support fits into established broadcast workflows. Pair with a dedicated PA — the integrated speakers are supplementary only at this room size.
• Boardroom or executive-suite primary display in a long boardroom — Large executive boardrooms where the table seats 16+ and the primary screen needs to read from the head of the table. The MTR meeting-mode auto-sync makes the display behave correctly when the room is used for a scheduled Teams meeting; BYOM over USB-C covers ad-hoc visiting-presenter laptop sharing.
• Retail flagship store or experiential venue — Front-of-store brand content, product hero walls or experiential signage in a flagship retail context. Anti-glare 25% haze controls reflections from store lighting and shop-front glass; 24/7 panel rating handles the operating hours of an extended retail shift.
• Wayfinding and directory display in large venues — Convention centres, hospitals, universities, transport hubs — running building directories or large-format wayfinding. Single-panel format is simpler and more serviceable than a multi-panel video wall for the same visible area.
