Smart Integration is what unlocks the MFP capabilities that most operations never touch. Out of the box every Ricoh Smart Operation Panel device is a scanner, a printer, a copier and a fax — and it sits idle on the rest of its capability because the workflows aren’t wired up. RSI is the cloud-subscription layer that wires them.

The three tiers cover three different operational pain points. RSI Connectors is for the customer who just wants scan-to-cloud done properly — walk up to the device, swipe a card, scan a stack, the files land in SharePoint / OneDrive / Google Drive / Box / Dropbox with OCR already applied and a sensible filename. RSI Control adds secure print release across the fleet — print from any laptop or phone, walk to any RSI-enabled device on the network, release. No more accidentally printing to a different floor’s MFP. RSI Control+ adds the advanced workflow and reporting layer — per-department cost recovery, per-user policy enforcement, audit trails for compliance-heavy industries.

Pairs with managed print contracts as the default workflow upgrade — most ClearEdge / Ricoh South Pacific managed-print customers run RSI Connectors at minimum, with Control or Control+ added when the scan or compliance workload justifies it. PaperCut MF remains the alternative for customers with embedded device authentication needs or strict on-premise requirements; @Remote covers the device-monitoring / meter-reading layer underneath RSI.

Features

  • Scan-to-cloud with automatic OCR — paper-to-searchable-PDF in one walk-up at the device
  • Secure print release from any device on the fleet — eliminates the print server requirement entirely
  • Mobile printing from phone / tablet via the RSI portal, no driver install
  • Document conversion in-line: scanned image → editable Word, searchable PDF, Excel from a tabular form
  • Unified web console for fleet visibility — usage, supply levels, error states across every market
  • Modular by tier — start with Connectors (scan workflows only), grow into Control (full secure-print + fleet) when ready
